PANCHALI SYNOPSIS

People of Tamil clan have been living in Lemuria island since pre historic Era. Lemuria is the place of their origin. In the middle this island was occupied by outlanders and is being ruled by them till date. The Lemuria people are suppressed by the outlanders and their birth rights and fundamental rights are denied. Because of this people start protests under the leadership of Vijaya Varman. Protests are also suppressed by the military and the protesters and the civilians and are tortured. As a last resort Vijaya Varman engages in armed struggle. The military and Vijaya Varman’s forces confront each other in a battle in the jungle. During this battle a bullet hits on Vijaya Varmans chest. Everybody gets tensed. A doctor who is also cadre of this movement examines Vijaya Varman and says that the bullet has caused injury on his heart and his conditioned is critical.
At this juncture an old cadre says that sixty years ago, when Vijaya Varman’s grandfather died, his heart was taken out and preserved in a secret place according to siddha medical process. If somebody brings that heart and transplantation his made Vijaya Varman will survive.
Panchali who is a loyal girl cadre sets out to fetch the heart. On the way she is arrested by the military. She is tortured and gang rapped by them. They leave her in the jungle alone with the thought that she would die without food and water.
A soldier named Tony shows mercy upon her, gives her medicines and revives her. He also helps her dig out the preserved heart.
On the way back home, eagles attack her and she manages it somehow. Suddenly she is again arrested by the military. A military man puts the gun on her temple. The sergeant orders the other soldier to destroy the heart. There is absolute silent everywhere. Suddenly a gun shot sound envelopes the area. Following that flapping sound of birds is heard.
As Panchali delays Vijaya Varman is nearing his death. The elder cadre says that if they mix the soil of their motherland with milk and feed their leader he will peacefully die. And he does so. Suddenly outside the hut Panchali’s mother creams,” PANCHALI”. Everybody rushes out. There the scenario they witness is astonishing …
