Oyáte un Itówapi - Pictures of My People MLK Day Feature

Martin Luther King Holiday and Athlete Social Justice Advocates were celebrated by FOX Sports "Voices". National Football League (NFL) American Professional Football and FOX Sports Network hosted the Social Justice Series for the 2020 football season. Jim Warne, WSD Productions, was asked to co-produce a short film addressing Native American perspectives of sports mascots and Indigenous Culture, "Oyáte un Itówapi - Pictures of my People". WSD Productions and FOX Sports partnered to produce this short television piece for the Social Justice series. Originally featured on FOX NFL Pregame Show on Thanksgiving Day 2020. FOX "Voices" MLK Special also featured "Oyáte un Itówapi - Pictures of my People" on Martin Luther King Holiday 2021 showcasing advocate athletes. Jim Warne, member of the Oglala Lakota Tribal Nation, shares his perspectives of Native mascots and Indigenous Native Culture and challenges in contemporary America.
