Overthinker

Elizabeth Thornton - Elizabeth is a second year university student studying film and media. The film Overthinker is very much loosely based on a real life break up that she went through. Being the passionate filmmaker they are Elizabeth decided to turn this experience into a short film. Elizabeth is a dedicated film maker who pours as much of her heart into the work she makes as she can. This makes her dedicated to the work she makes. This combined with their creativity has made Elizabeth a film maker who uses her strengths to enhance her vision and make the best work possible. The last year and a half of university has been eye opening for Elizabeth as they were brought into this world of film seeing just how much opportunities there are out there and just how much can be accomplished in this industry. With all that she has learnt Elizabeth has tried her hardest on this film and hopes that those that watch it can enjoy it and maybe even relate to it.

Emily Lewis - Emily Lewis is also a second year student doing film and media. Precisive and detail-oriented, Emily is a hard working individual who works hard to make sure as much can be done as perfectly as it can be done. On set Emily would drive the cast and crew keeping them on track when tangents arose and keeping everyone on schedule. Whilst the story was based on Elizabeth’s real life story this did not stop Emily from being able to put her on feeling into rewrites and deepening the characters. Helping to bring them to life Emily brought her own experiences to the story. All this combined made Emily a fantastic co-director, producer and editor. Her ability to work in a partnership was unparalleled as she would allow Elizabeth to bring her vision to life whilst also bring them back down to Earth when their vision would get too grandiose. This film could never have been a tenth as good as it is without Emily’s excellent work ethic, creativity and compassion.
