Russian fairy tale. The Mute Girl is in Baba Yaga's house, where she performs tasks to find her voice. She tries to escape, but cannot. Finally, she manages to escape... but is everything really as it seems, and what is behind the familiar stories from her childhood? How will it all end for the heroine? Director Biography - Tatyana Shtrigel

In 2015-2016 she took a course in "The Basics of Directing TV Programs and Feature Films" at the "Kadr" studio in St. Petersburg. As a graduation film she made a short film "Fiction", based on the story of the same name by Zinaida Gippius. This film was the first of three short films in the Silver Age Gothic Stories series, which later included Princess Zara, based on a story by Nikolai Gumilev, and The Life of Gnor, based on a story by Alexander Grin.

In 2021 she made a short film "Over the side".
Currently working on a sequel, the working title of the new film: "Over the side. The Library".

Director Statement

What is the deepest part of a person? What does the psyche rely on in crisis situations? Can we change our past? Are our memories true? Is it possible to interfere with the psyche uncontrollably? What is behind the simple fairy tale we have grown accustomed to since childhood?
This film asks and tries to answer these questions.
