Adam Jackson is a New York-based writer
currently working on his MFA in
Screenwriting/TV Writing at Columbia
University. Born and raised in rural Upstate
New York, he received his Bachelor of Arts
from the State University of New York at
Oswego in Political Science and Creative
Writing in 2017.
Growing up in Upstate New York, right on the edge of the Adirondacks, lush and massive forests always surrounded us. I've always been fascinated and terrified by them. It's my personal commentary on the power of the connections we make with nature; both beautiful and horrific. The human curiosity of what lies in the dark is universal.
This film was shot on location in Ava, New York, with the hard work of an incredibly talented cast and crew, all fellow students from Columbia University School of the Arts, and other NYC-based collaborators. Music and sound were produced in collaboration with students at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Special thanks to my producers, Dhane Alexander and Molly Evans, my girlfriend Emily Rundle for her patience and support, to David and GerryLyn Rundle for letting us use their land, home, and running a rather large electricity bill, and my great friend Tyler St. Pierre, for dealing with me sending script pages and rough cuts at every time of day.
