Michaela Rihova is a visual artist, holds a degree in Fine Art Experimental Media and recently finished her postgraduate degree at Arts University Bournemouth in Film Directing. During my Experimental studies I was exploring how to use space as the sixth dimension of storytelling.
In the past Michaela has worked on various short films in collaboration with the prestigious Film and Television School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague as assistant director and directed more short films herself. One of her short film called “Circle” won Online Film Award.
Michaela also studied dancing for many years at a prestigious dance studio back home where she discovered the magic that lies in shaping stories through movement.
Michaela believes in creating projects with a profound social message as it is important to make sense of the chaos we create in the world every day. If film, as a medium, is used wisely, it can help people to deeply reflect on their lives.
Michaela believes that art comes to human as a spiritual form and has healing effect on audience. Most of her work is intuitive based on the channeling techniques. Thus her inner, repeating motives in all of her artwork is about our subconsicous anima and animus idea – woman in man and man in woman. Michaela works with strong visuals that are transcending through the channeling into the story.
