Marty Krzywonos enjoys the entire process of film making, which is why he likes being involved behind the camera as well as in front of it. Besides appearing in major features such as "Black Swan" (the orchestra conductor) and "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" (gospel meeting piano player), Marty has appeared in a number of independent films in a variety of character roles.
He holds a B.A. in music, and piano is his main instrument. Because of this background, he has also composed for a number of locally-produced films including “Terra-Ists” which was shown at the Project 21 Film Competition in September, 2013. Since then he has made a number of short films in various genres, plus his latest feature film, "Mazurkas," won several awards and has been selected by film festivals around the world.
Marty is married, with three children, one of whom is currently appearing on Broadway in Disney’s "Aladdin."
