"Outside the Lines" is a student-run literary festival embracing diversity within our Loughborough community. Join us to celebrate the unique voices within all of us. This festival is in collaboration with Loughborough University and LUARTS.

This film festival is designed to explore narrative voices outside of the lines of the clearly literary and highlight the connection between literature and other forms of artistic expression.

What are we looking for?
*Short films of up to 10 minutes
*Films that address themes such as: queer identity, marginalisation, belonging, otherness, alienation, disability, and gender diversity.

There's a £50 prize for the winner!!

All material in your film must be your own original work — If using third-party materials, you must have the rights to reuse all images, music, and on-screen talent featured in your film. Films that do not adhere to copyright laws will be disqualified. Submission of your film also indicates consent to the copyright agreement below.

Copyright Agreement

I state that I am authorized to submit this film for consideration, and have read, understood, and agree to all the requirements. I hereby release the Outside the Lines Loughborough Literary Festival from all responsibility for loss of or damage to submitted materials. As this is a competitive festival, I understand there are no guarantees that my film will be accepted for screening. Entry materials will not be returned.

I agree that I have secured all necessary rights for both picture and sound, and exhibition will not violate or infringe upon any rights including, but not limited to music, images, and content.
