Outsiders Film Festival is a high school short film competition honoring networking in the South Texas Film Community.
The Outsiders film festival began in 2009 as a collaboration between NESA Cinema and several other film programs. The purpose of the festival is to allow young filmmakers (from around the state) an opportunity to network, as well as showcase their work.
We accept all genres including commercials, music videos, documentaries, and narrative shorts.
Join us for a fun night of networking and films on September 21st, 2017.

After submitting the short film, please visit our website: http://outsidersfilmfest.weebly.com/ or email us at nesaoutsiders@gmail.com for the hardcopy waiver. This MUST be completed before the film can be reviewed.

The top three(3) shorts from each category will earn a screening at the festival, as well as additional prizes.

The film must have been completed after September 1, 2016, and the DIRECTOR MUST BE STILL ATTENDING HIGH SCHOOL AS OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2017. No director may submit more than two(2) films, if more than two(2) are submitted, only the first two(2) will be qualified.

At the start of each film, please include a slate with the title of the film, director, run time and whether the film is mono or stereo.
Before submitting any film, please ensure that there is a 100-word or fewer summary as well as a short director's bio alongside the film.

If you are submitting via post, please send your film as a .mov file on a flash drive and be prepared to send another copy in case of technical problems. Please include a Word document with the title of the film, director, run time, whether the film is mono or stereo, and a 100-word or fewer summary of the film, plus the print out of the completed application form found on the website or via email.
