Outsider Film Fest was established to deliver acclaim to independent short filmmakers. We appreciate the hard work, uncertainty and risk that goes into making an independent short film. Each season we will select and recognize a selection of independent short films. Selected films will be showcased (trailer or full film) on our website and social media.

Awards & Prizes

Filmmakers will receive our official selection laurel in recognition of creative excellence.

Rules & Terms

1. Short films must be between 1-40 minutes a in length (including credits).
2. Foreign language films must come with English subtitles (on trailer and full film).
3. All short films must be produced after 2015.
4. Outsider Film Fest is an international festival, therefor we accept all countries and nationalities.
5. Please ensure your film (or trailer) is uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo for publication.
6. Refunds are not permitted.
7. It the filmmakers responsibility to ensure that their work doesn’t breach copyright or creative infringement.
8. Entry to other festivals or online publications are permitted. We do not believe in restricting your audience or achievements.
