Laura Harbin began her film and television career at Shaftesbury Films, and over her sixteen years there she was on the producing team for over 35 titles. In 2011 she joined Temple Street Productions as Senior Director of Scripted Programming, overseeing development and production of approximately 65 hours of television. In 2015, in addition to Executive Producing The Next Step's fourth season Laura wrote five episodes and directed two. That same year, Laura wrote one and co-wrote two Lost & Found Music Studios episodes. In 2017 she wrote for the kids web-series Emerald Code and in 2018/2019 she was Supervising Producer on and co-wrote an episode of Hudson & Rex. Since then she has focussed solely on writing her own feature projects.
Dedicating myself to a writing career after years as a producer, I am well practiced at beginning anew, so it's no surprise that common theme in my scripts is an examination of self.
