Our Ghosts

Two married Yorkshire pensioners have built up a garden of memories as they grow plants amongst their old bed, childhood bikes and pots and pans. Our Ghosts explores the physical garden and the one built from memories and experiences which exists only inside their minds. What happens when they have to leave it behind?

Director Statement

Our Ghosts is a story about a garden, a couple and the memories they have planted within it.

I'm a 24 year old British first time filmmaker, now in New Zealand, and this film was born out of an unlikely friendship. I received no funding, but throughout two years I told my story again and again and received lots of help along the way towards making this five minute window into a very unusual garden and a very special pair of people.
