Our Dog, Blue.
Our Dog, Blue. is more than the director’s chronicle of his summer of rescuing a lost Cane Corso Puppy found randomly running down the highway. It is an evaluation of the importance of responsible dog breeding, puppy socialization and training. While the documentary is bittersweet demonstrating the love that the director’s family has for Blue and his love for the family, it also addresses with objective professionalism these more serious topics. The topic of euthanasia is handled with great sensitivity and the viewer ends up with a better understanding of the potential pitfalls of rescuing a guarding breed.

Conor Forrest is a second year Film Production student at York University in Toronto. He is also the Founder and CEO of Little Cat Film Productions. Passionate not only about making films, but providing a forum for likeminded young film makers to share their work, Conor created the The Little Cat Film Festival in 2018. This has now become an annual event co hosted by The Winters College Council at York University. Conor, like many young film makers finds inspiration in his interpretation of the world and events around him and has written and directed both documentary and fictional short films. He is a strong animal lover with a pair of yellow labradors and a couple of rescue cats.
My experience with Blue in 2018 was the most interesting, the happiest and saddest experience I've ever been through. I couldn't just put all this to rest like as if it never happened, which is what inspired me to make this documentary to bring awareness to this issue. "Our Dog, Blue." is bittersweet to the audience, but for me it was about the saddest moment in my life today.
