Our Daily Bread
In some town in western Mexico, a couple of fruit merchants live another day in their monotonous life, beginning and ending with complete naturalness.
During the workday, a vibe full of nostalgia and fatigue invites them to reflect on their age and the moral step on which they are standing. The infinite silence in an anonymous mountain range listens to the laments of those who can no longer speak.

Sebastián Flores (1995, Zapopan) is a multidisciplinary creator who has explored music, writing and film. His career, marked by living in different cities, has allowed him to develop a multicultural vision. He has produced the film Bonded by Blood, as well as music videos, directed commercials, and his first short film, Our Daily Bread.
This film emerges as a reflection of the shadows that inhabit the essence of work in Mexico and Latin America, where reality is interwoven with sacrifice and silence. Don Vicente and Julio are victims of their own reality; they live within the complexity of their survival, and along the way, we discover that their needs overwhelm them, yet despite this, kindness still exists.
For me, the journey is what truly matters—it is where their essence comes from, where the motivations of their lives take shape, and where age offers its perspective on the present of this unfortunate pair.
