Our brand is built on a legacy of boldness.
From the moment Elisha Otis cut the cord on his new invention at the World’s Fair, we have dared to change the world in bold new ways.

We are looking for artists to help us capture the “Story of Otis” … the history, present and future of this unique company and legacy, which has been critical to the development of American cities, modern architecture and the built environment.

We exist to move people, not machines.

We’re looking for sophisticated, striking and sensitive photography and videography, capturing surprising and wholly engaging images of real people doing real things in real buildings and real cities – the connections and intersections between people, places, locations, and emotions. Small, intimate stories in the middle of huge urban environments.

The goal of the contest is to reward great image-making and to help build a library of visuals to illustrate the Otis story in print, media, and presentation. The inspiration comes from the Otis brand theme: “Made to move you”.

This is a free contest and here are prizes in multiple categories, that include two grand prizes: $3,000 for videography and $2,000 for photography.
