SYNOPSIS:

OTHTHA SERUPPU Size 7 (SINGLE SLIPPER Size 7) is set in current day Chennai, in a world where the divide between the rich and poor is vast; greed, betrayal and crime roam free, and every individual carries with him/her, the psychological stress of the lives they’ve lived so far.

A middle aged man Masilamani, a security guard at a popular sports and recreation club, is being questioned as a murder suspect while his young terminally ill son waits outside the investigation room.

Throughout the film, he is the only actor seen on screen, while other characters are only voices that interact with him. Masilamani is an unreliable narrator, an eccentric and emotional wreck who talks in riddles, back and forth, provoked by visual or audio stimuli in the physical space around him.

His strange tale with moments of unexpected comedy and sudden displays of wit leaves us questioning who is really he, what he’s done and if he deserves the punishment that is staring him in the face.
