Osama Othman is an Egyptian cinematographer. He discovered his passion for photography at a very young age. At the age of ten, he began capturing special occasions and events, preserving them as lasting memories. This early start fascinated him with the power of artistic expression and storytelling.
At sixteen, he received training in photography and cinematography in Egypt. This education not only helped him develop his technical skills but also provided him with knowledge in areas such as visual composition and lighting.
Later, he pursued further studies in radio, television, and cinema at Ankara University. During his university years, he participated in more than 30 projects, gaining experience in various roles such as directing, camera operation, behind-the-scenes photography, lighting, sound, and editing. This diverse experience shaped him into a versatile and adaptable filmmaker.
In 2021, he won first place in the Photography category at the YTB International Student Awards, and in 2022, he secured second place in the Short Film category.
In 2025, Osama joined the National Film School of the Latvian Academy of Culture for an Erasmus exchange program, where he deepened his understanding of European cinema and collaborated on international productions.
