The ORIGINS FILM FESTIVAL™ showcases independent feature and short films of any genre related to gaming, sci-fi or fantasy.
OFF is presented as part of the ORIGINS GAME FAIR™ (http://www.originsgamefair.com), one of the nation’s largest tabletop gaming conventions. Origins Game Fair features over 4,500 events and games of every variety: tabletop games, miniatures games, roleplaying games, LARPs, traditional games, collectible card games, and even poker.
In addition to gaming events, OGF offers a large vendor room. If your film is selected for the festival, you’ll have the opportunity to promote and sell copies of your film or related merchandise at the OFF Showcase booth.
OGF is run by the Game Manufacturer’s Association (GAMA) and held every year at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH.
Awards will be given for:
BEST GAMING FILM
BEST SCI-FI FILM
BEST FANTASY FILM
All filmmakers will be granted two 5 Day full-access badges to the Origins Game Fair, which offers over 4,500 events, including games, seminars, crafting, costume contest, and more. Winners of the above awards will also receive two full show passes each for next year’s Game Fair!
All selected films will be given the opportunity to promote and sell their film or related merchandise at the Origins Film Festival Showcase vendor booth. See the FAQ at http://www.originsfilmfestival.com/faq for details.
In addition to screenings, several filmmaking panels will be offered for attendees.
