Artist Biography

Jacqueline Horton was born and raised in Monterey California. She began her musical journey at age of 9 years old with the encouragement of her late grandmother. Jacqueline continued to stay actively involved in music through college. She graduated from La Sierra University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in music education. Jacqueline wrote and composed the film score for “Damned If I Do” in the early part of 2020.

Artist Statement

Composing the score for the short film, “ Damned If I Do” offered an amazing opportunity to work closely with director Jeffery Thompson to interpret the artistic excellence of the film into a musical formulation. I was also honored to work with 2 time Grammy Award winning Sound Engineer Brian Losch. Both experiences were very rewarding and I will use this knowledge towards my next projects and build upon this going forward.
