Orian Dorais has studied Cinema and Art History at Université de Montréal. During his school years, he has directed several short films shown in festivals around the world. He's also occupied numerous other positions in the cinema industry, from being a film critic to working as a production assistant on Transformers : Rise of the Beasts.
His most recent project, Recuerdo, has been made in the context of Kinomada, a creation lab headed by veteran documentary filmmaker Yannick Nolin (https://mubi.com/en/cast/yannick-nolin).
Independently from his film career, Orian is also a writer. In 2017, he has published his first short story at the age of seventeen and, since 2019, he has written several nonfiction pieces for magazines in Montreal. At the age of only 22, he became a member of the prestigious FIPRESCI.
