Director Statement

OPERATOR was inspired by my friend Chris Priedemann's 3-years experience as a crisis prevention hotline counselor. It represents -- in fictional fashion -- the struggles a crisis counselor encounters; maintaining boundaries while still connecting with a texter, being anonymous, and above all, helping another human find a place in the world for the moment.
