Onur was born in Ankara in 1993. He entered the film industry at the age of 18
and started working as a camera assistant in television series made in Turkey. He
won the exam at the Istanbul Cinema Center and received education about
screenwriting, film-documentary production and cinematography. After his
graduation, he worked as a cinematographer in some documentaries. These
documentaries were big projects for TRT World, TRT Documentary and Turkish
Ministry of Culture and Tourism and some of them were shot abroad.
Onur adopted the human storytelling style of documentary filmmaking. And in
2016 he met a bully and documented his dramatic story. This documentary became
famous in a very short time and was broadcast on TRT World channel, reaching
millions of people. This was Onur's first documentary as a director.
Following this, TRT asked Onur to continue producing documentary
content.For the 12-episode documentary "Hayatlar" broadcast on TRT
Documentary ,he followed the " Sacrifice in the Age of Narcissism" situations
in Turkey and documented the stories of exemplary personalities who instilled
goodness in the society.
Onur Huseyin Kilinc added a new dimension to the documentarization of the psychological background of the aftermath of the Bosnian War with his first
documentary "Those Who Are Lonely" in Bosnia-Herzegovina, which is broadcast as a single episode on TRT BELGESEL channel. From 2021, he continues to work on his documentary project titled One Frame One Meaning.
