Bob Cheshire is an award-winning concept artist working in the film industry. He's worked on many celebrated movies, from Marvel's 'Endgame', 'Infinity War' and more, most recently 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness', to 'Star Wars Ep9' and 'Jurassic World: Dominion'.
Harry Cheshire is a film undergraduate and an aspiring screenwriter and director, bringing his skill set to bear in co-creating these short stories.
'Only Sky Above' is our first micro budget short. Ideas for 12 shorts became 6 and eventually became 3 because of time, money and budget.
We both love the horror genre so pulling on each others' strengths we developed the final 3 stories with the intention of creating an anthology that explores different types of horror in the spirit of other anthologies like 'Creepshow' or 'Cat's Eye', albeit on a micro scale.
We were incredibly lucky to have Anwen Bull join our small team as our lead actor. Anwen was recently awarded Best Actress (Short) for her lead role in 'Everyone Forgot' at the Unrestricted View Film Festival, was nominated for Best Lead Performance in a Short at HorrorHound and Best Villain at the Days of the Dead Film Festival.
The rest of our team is mainly made up of family, Sophie, a costume design undergraduate, who did our costumes, acted as on-set runner and behind the scenes photographer, and Jo, who was prepared to wear contact lenses and isn't allergic to latex!
Finally we welcomed Joshua Tidd as our composer.
The point was to have creative fun and learn as we went - it was some of the best fun ever and we hope to share the end result with audiences to show what you can do with 6 people, a lot of determination and a very small budget!
