This is a documentary about a sister from a dysfunctional family interviewing her brother who has muscular dystrophy.

"Muscular Dystrophy(MD)", an intractable disease that causes progressive muscular weakness and necroses.
My brother is a MD patient.

He may some of the time mention his physical agonies but does not make any remark of pessimism around his life.
As this interview moves on, however, he starts to speak out….
He says he's an in-between of a handicapped person and healthy, with pressure of “looking normal”.

I was a video editor at a TV station. After starting my own business, I started my own company and am working extensively in the fields of directing and graphic design.
My family was a dysfunctional family. With that situation, disabilities, abuse, etc... I develop businesses to support people who have difficulties in life.

Director Statement

Through this work, I strongly hope that people who are struggling to live will feel empathy and energy.
Some people's reputation in the world is that "because you have a disability, your way of life is wonderful," but this is not true. If we are not divided into different groups, we all have similar problems and many things in common.
Therefore, I hope that the viewers themselves will link with Onii, the main character of this film, and feel that we are all the same person.
And in this day and age, even in countries suffering from wars...even in Japan, where people are used to peace, I feel that "someone other than myself is in charge" of the way people live. In our case, it was our relatives who took the initiative.
It is because we live in such times that I sent out this work with the thought, "Living is the right of only one's self”.
