Private Project

One time in '44

In October 1944 right before the end of Second World War, German troops burned down Koropi, a small village near Athens. Nikos Karagiorgis was 8 years old at the time. When the fire started Nikos was at a grapevine in Spata, close to the village, picking up grapes with his father. 78 years later his memory travels back in time in a combination of reenactment and oral history.
