Director Biography - Iancu Barbarasa

Iancu Barbarasa is a graphic designer and illustrator based in London, UK, born in Transylvania, Romania. He has been designing and drawing for more than fifteen years, working with clients and agencies from all over the world, but also on self initiated projects. Michael Wolff once said that he is an ‘unusual designer with an open mind and a bright brain’ — he’s doing his best to prove him right. When he’s not at his drawing desk, he’s either riding through the forest or looking for new pieces to add to his large collection of cycling caps.

Director Statement

Milton Glaser once said “the purpose of art is to inform and delight”. It’s brilliant, but I always felt something was still missing from it. So I’d say that art – and any creative’s work – should aim to “inform, delight and inspire”. Hopefully my film will inspire people to start something of their own, or share what they’re already doing with other people. That would bring joy to everyone, and there’s never too much of it.
