Director Biography - Tomas Zuccareno

I spent nearly 30 years as a commercial photographer often working for clients who's world views I didn't agree with. It was great, I made money, I was many times flavor the of the month at some world wide advertising agencies and I got to travel all over the world with my camera.

One day I woke up and realized that while all of those things were fine and I felt "successful," somewhere along the way I had lost the idealistic, soapbox speech ranting, crazy Tomas of my youth. And, I missed him so.

Well, I"M BACK! Trying to fit in the box of "success" taught me how to temper my inner rebel. Now, I use film visuals as my soapbox and and I let my characters do the ranting. A softer touch then in my youth and I'd argue a more effective one. I welcome you to be the judge.

Changemaker /change-maker/

1. anyone who is taking creative action to solve a social problem and help others.

What is it that makes a changemaker? Is there something extraordinary about those individuals who choose to help others, or are we all capable creating change?

Perhaps there is just One Moment(s) when life presents (any of) us with the opportunity to step away from our safe selves and into a place where helping others is no longer a choice but a practice.

One Moment(s) seeks to explore the very instance, the unique moment when a changemaker chooses to help make change. The physical and emotional feelings. The lump in the throat, the doubts and fears. The strength, the deep breaths and the triumph of choosing YES and never looking back.

Perhaps a viewer can be inspired to listen to their One Moment(s) calling them from within. I think that we all have it in us. Are you open to the possibilities?
