Once upon a time... a photographer
Ildefonso Colaço entered the field of photography driven by his passion for capturing landscapes and immortalizing unique moments, inspired by various photographers and images he found on social media. Later, as he evolved in his craft, he decided to use photography to document everyday moments in Mozambican life with a critical and celebratory perspective on the periphery.
For Ildefonso, photography is the tool he has found to capture moments that are also a part of his daily life, combining this with the development of photographic concepts, whether collaborative or individual.

Looking for the perfect capture could be the name of a record if my love for the cameras would extend to music.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a busy Maputo with such incomplete stories that I always felt the need to tell them. It is through the lens that I interpret the world.
I do it in my own way.
With all the necessary repetitions to be able to describe the characters that surround me and who arouse curiosity in me.
It is through that same lens that I try to improve my work, little by little.
I went through video and publicity editing but I believe it is at the end of the opening titles of a movie that my surname best fits
From Mozambique to the world, I want to do a work without geography.
