Abdullah Khamis (Arabic: eabdullah khamis; born 31 May 1997) is an Egyptian Filmmaker, director, producer, editor, actor, and graphic designer, Khamis is considered a special human case, an aspiring filmmaker coming forward from Matrouh to the world, thriving for telling stories no one told before, stories that matter, Khamis is known for using people from the locality in which he is shooting, Especially in his documentaries, he uses locals to benefit what he calls "ecstatic truth" (as opposed to the literal or factual truth). He Uses footage of non-actors both playing roles and being themselves, his films often feature ambitious protagonists, with impossible dreams, people always on a journey to discover themselves or discovering places, people with unique talents in obscure fields, or individuals who are in conflict with their nature or the surrounding environment trying to fit in. Being critical of film schools, Khamis has taught cinema workshops, trying to pass his experience to young passionate directors, Lessons ranged from "How could image talk?" to "The "Creation of your own film" and other workshops in his fields of expertise. Between 2018 and 2020 Khamis directed 6 films, two fiction short films, and 4 documentary films, as well as episodes of "secrets from wadi majid show, he has been the writer or co-writer for all his films, he was the producer of many films considering his position as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Founder at Treas. Later in 2020, after he struggled a lot with distributing his films in festivals, he decided to create his own film festival to work as a hub for his films and other filmmaker's films.
The production experience was new to me, but it is not new to the people I work with Treas, nor to the people who work in I Matrouh. When I presented the idea to them for two years, it was almost impossible because it was not possible for someone to go to pray Eid with a giant lens that he placed in people's eyes, and looks Resting in front of the camera, this year I saw young people take the phones of his family to trust, and the idea of the small camera entered into my brain, I told the film team who showed their concerns about the quality of the image, which would be reduced to half in this case, we agreed on the method of marketing the film and the way it was edited and framed as if it were a movie displayed on a screen An old television, and in this case, we will shoot with the highest quality that existed at that time.
