Once Requited Love Cannot (2023)

Innocent is a closeted gay man in love with his conservative best friend, Mandla. He finds himself caught in a rock and hard place as it becomes hard to let Mandla know the truth. Knowing that Mandla is straight man and likes women makes it worse until he cannot keep it a secret forever. He eventually manages to tell him but ends up changing the trajectory of their friendship until a more openly gay man, Obakeng, finds interest in Innocent. Obakeng provides Innocent with a more layered perspective surrounding the gay experience.
