Once Home
Once Home is a short film that captures a moment in time and reminisces on the past. It looks at what home means to us as we evolve and mature. It also explores how we become detached from our homes as we age with commentary on those who feel left behind.

Niamh Hanley is a final year Film student from Dublin. She has just completed her first short film Once Home. She is passionate about using visual art such as film as a way to connect with people as she has struggled with dyslexia all her life.
Once Home is a love letter to a place and time. I was heavily inspired by Irelands current housing crisis when creating this piece. This piece is personal to me as most people my age are currently leaving Ireland to move abroad. I wanted to make a film that captures the feelings of nostalgia and loss and I hope people around the world will connect to this piece.
