Nabil Viñas, an NYC actor, played Benito Mussolini in the Emmy-nominated miniseries The World Wars (History Channel '14) and has a lead role in The Great Despair (Eastgate Pictures) to be released early 2016. He's played lead roles in several plays and short films in New York. Acting Awards include Winner, BEST ACTING DUO (The Cat's Cradle, Sanford IFF '15) and Nominee, BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR (Things I Don't Understand, LIIFE '13). He wrote and produced his first short film Come Back Hailey last year and is excited to make his directing debut by collaborating with Memo and Alexis Holloway on this sweet short film On the Bench in his family's native language. Nabil was born and raised in Washington Heights as the proud son of Dominican parents.
Alexis Holloway is an indie filmmaker and photographer based in NYC. In addition to writing/directing/producing short narrative film, Alexis also has experience as a production manager of narrative features and field producing reality programming for MTV and WE networks. She developed project management and organizational skills through the women’s film and performance festival, Estrogen Fest, which she created and curated for four consecutive years in Burlington, Vermont. Alexis is a National Endowment of the Arts recipient. She has a bachelor’s degree in Film Production and Women’s Studies from Burlington College.
