Director Statement

“On Leaving” is a very personal film reflecting an unforgettable experience of myself. I hoped that by the time I finished the film, I would be able to release myself from that memory, just as the little girl does in the film. Fortunately, I did. I showed this film to the “tiger” and told him how much I loved him, how much I valued our experience and received his positive feedback.feel fortunate that film can serve as a medium to express and visualize my emotions, allowing me to appreciate and fondle them over the years.
Beyond my personal journey, I hope this film resonates with you. Perhaps everyone has had a "tiger" or a "girl" in their life. It doesn't matter whether it was love or friendship, or if it lasted long or was as brief as a fleeting moment. What matters is that the experiences we share with others create a tender resonance that remains in our hearts forever.
I hope you enjoy my film. Don't just watch it; feel it.
