Hi, my name is Remique, pronounced Ruh-meek. I am majoring in Digital Filmmaking at LAFS. I think what made me want to go into film was my high school magnet, mass communications. I did everything from radio, to newscasting, and even package creation, which I won awards for. I loved being in control of the creative process and being able to have things turn out the way I want them to. I taught myself how to work adobe premiere pro and picked up a camera and before you knew it, I was putting film down for my major at all of the schools I was applying to. One of my biggest inspirations is Jordan Peele, definitely. I love how he went from being this comedy icon to this horror legend. His range is astronomical, and I relate to him greatly. I absolutely love horror. I loved it ever since I was a child when my mom would make me watch all of the saw movies at least twice. I don’t get scared at all by horror movies anymore, and if they do scare me then it’s definitely a good movie. Some of my greatest accomplishments include being president of my senior class in high school, graduating at 16 years old, and starting my own business for film at 18 years old.
