Oliver Bestul lives in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and has been writing there since he was in his teens. Having interests in writing, painting, and filmmaking, he thinks of himself as a dabbler of mediums. With a picture book, a few plays, some poetry, a feature-length horror film, and a 12-book series under his belt, he most recently decided to make a return to the movies.
Every time he puts a film together, he hopes to bring in and master another element of the craft. Hist first film, Poppet, familiarized him with the found footage genre of filmmaking, where he learned how to edit a film and to "on-the-fly" direct. With Mutiny on the Brigid, his second film, he brought in a proper score, expertly composed by his wife Veronica. With future projects, he looks forward to further honing his filmmaking craft!
