Based in California, Brad Hock is a stop motion filmmaker that uses the medium to explore the stories of the past. He views his work as a continuation of a constant transformation these symbols endure through time and telling. Diving into the realm of symbols to unearth new meaning into forgotten stories.

Deep beneath a well lies a portal to a realm of forgotten things. Long retired gods continue to wind their springs, and unveil the magic hidden within the apples.
In this place you need no words to understand, but through sight and sound alone you may be transported to a world of symbols buried beneath the bones of our elders. A place we all come from, but soon forget. Where the most important things can take place through the act of simple gestures. Like the passing of a glance, or the sharing of some tea.
Even if it's from a Devil or a Rat.

This was a self funded project that took nearly three years to complete while working various part time jobs, and barely scraping by. It is a true labor of love that was born out of the combined worlds of myself and Sami Graf. With a little help and encouragement from some of our talented friends we managed to pull it off. We hope you'll enjoy this glimpse into our little world.
