Act 1: Tim, an 18-year-old, discovers his estranged father is dying and has only a week to live. Encouraged by his friend Rad, Tim decides to visit. However, his mother, an assistant DA with a strict demeanor, confiscated his ATM card. In his quest to retrieve it from her office, Tim encounters Connor, a con man with a bounty on his head, placed by the bikers his mother aims to dismantle. Despite recovering his card, Tim’s lie about his travel plans is exposed by Connor, leading mother canceling the card and reluctantly taking Connor into her care.
Act 2: Desperate for funds, Tim and his friend Leeloo, whose father is a bounty hunter on his honeymoon, decide to bounty hunt. They identify a low-ranking biker, Kane, as their target. During their pursuit, they stumble into a biker gathering where Tim mistakenly abducts the wrong biker, leading to a chaotic chase. After escaping, they learn of their mistake. Connor struck a deal with the bikers to betray Tim in exchange for controlling the DA, and arranges to exchange Tim for his life, and Blaze for money.

Father/Son Writing Team – Luis & Tsunami Ortiz
Luis spent eight years writing and directing theater in New Orleans, where he won five playwriting competitions, founded three theaters, and staged sixteen original short plays. After the birth of his son Tsunami, he stepped back from the spotlight to focus on being a full-time dad.
Tsunami began writing at age seven and hasn’t stopped since. Together, they form a dynamic and unpredictable writing team fueled by endless brainstorming, passionate debates, and the occasional creative brawl. Their process has been described as “Chinese ping-pong at a life-or-death match”—fast, intense, and oddly graceful.
They bring distinct voices to their work: Luis draws from decades of lived experience, navigating life as a suicidal manic-depressive with a sharp eye for dark humor and emotional nuance. Tsunami offers a grounded, Gen-Z sensibility—equal parts emotionally intelligent and whip-smart.
They currently have another script on the festival circuit. Luis is developing a dramedy-scify feature while Tsunami is working on an animated series pilot.
They search for the absurdity in the human condition.
