Director Statement

As a filmmaker, I am committed to telling stories that explore the complexities of human experience. "Of Late" was born from a desire to address grief during the holiday season, a time that can be both joyful and painful.

Our team of trained filmmakers, united by our personal experiences with loss, sought to create a narrative that captures the journey of grief and the search for hope. This film is dedicated to those we are mourning.

By exploring themes of loss and resilience, "Of Late" aims to connect with audiences who may feel isolated in their struggles. We hope to raise awareness and foster empathy, particularly for those who haven't faced profound loss. Our goal is for the film to resonate with anyone experiencing adversity, especially during the holidays.

We are eager to honor our loved ones through this project and hope "Of Late" inspires love and understanding throughout the year.

Warmly,

Jamie Knox (he/him)
