The Sunday Times quoted the film as “a brilliant new vision of a sun drenched dystopian future”.
She quickly followed this with her anthology comedy adventure drama series set in 1188 “TOPOGRAPHICA HIBERNICA” which screened on TV and in numerous festivals and platforms. Women Cinemakers Magazine (Special Edition) featured Liza’s work and described “TOPOGRAPHIA” as “Drama / Comedy sharp satirical storytelling”. Following the films screening at Cork Film Festival she was identified one of 20 Filmmakers to watch out for.
Following the success of THE WANDERING Liza worked as a 2nd Unit Director on the MISTER MAYFAIR series of comedy / gangster films with Steven Bauer, Armand Assante, Antonio Fargas, Nathalie Cox and Casper Van Dien. Shooting in Portugal and the UK. The work she did on that series quickly moved from 2nd Unit to main unit shooting and the Producers invited her to direct the film series finale “Serena’s Game” a substantially more gritting action episode. The series is available on Apple TV and other platforms.
Liza spent some time in the Caribbean as 2nd Unit Director for 2 feature films there – Romantic comedy “ONE YEAR OFF” starring Jeff Fahy, Antonio Fargas, Niki Spiridakos, and Nathalie Cox.
Back in the UK Liza took the helm to write and direct “YORK WITCHES SOCIETY” a fun horror film for Vertical Entertainment.
