There is such a need and desire for multi cultural diverse film making in the world that unites every way of life regardless of sexuality, race or religious beliefs. Committed to the belief that talent can be diverse and still have the opportunities as the ones around you, ODIFF directors desire to use the festival as a vehicle to strengthen the international filmmaking community by encouraging networking, shared resources and artistic collaboration. It is ultimately envisioned as a stepping stone to encourage diversity in Hollywood.

Rules & Terms

Your submission must be postmarked by the appropriate deadline listed above and include the correct entry fee. We will not consider films submitted after the final deadline.

Films must have been completed 2018- 2019.

Films must not have had any commercial, theatrical, video on demand, or television play in Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico premiere requirement). Feature-length films must not have had any festival screenings in the state of Puerto Rico.

Films may be of any length, and of any genres, including features, documentaries, shorts, student films, and experimental films. We are particularly interested in presenting U.S. and World Premieres. The Festival will consider works-in-progress, films with temporary sound tracks, digital outputs, and work that did not originate from film.

All films with dialogue in a language other than English must be subtitled in English for Festival presentation.

Entries must be submitted via password protected link. Passwords should be active for the duration of the submission process.

We will inform you of our selection decision on or before October 14, 2019.

CATEGORIES

FEATURE. Either fictional or non fictional story that is 75 minutes or more in length. Must have been completed by 2018. Must have never been screened in Puerto Rico.

INTERNATIONAL FEATURE. Must be a fictional story that is 75 minutes or more in length. Must have been made outside the USA and completed by 2018. Must have never been screened in Puerto Rico.

DOCUMENTARY FEATURE. Must be a non-fictional story that is 40 minutes or more in length.

INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FEATURE. Must be a non-fictional story that is 40 minutes or more in length. Must have been made outside the USA

NARRATIVE SHORT. Must be a fictional story that is 50 minutes or less in length.
INTERNATIONAL NARRATIVE SHORT. Must be a fictional story that is 50 minutes or less in length. Must have been made outside the USA

DOCUMENTARY. Must be a non-fictional story that is 39 minutes or less in length.

INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY. Must be a non-fictional story that is 39 minutes or less in length. Made outside the USA.

FAITH BASED FEATURE FILM. Fiction or non Fiction. Must be minimal 75 minutes in length. Must have been completed by 2018 and must not have been screen in Puerto Rico before.
