Oblivion
"Oblivion" (the state of being unaware or unconscious of what is happening around one) is Giviko Arakhamia's début experimental short film. On the one hand it shows the cannibalistic caricature of a consumer obsessed with self-destruction, and on the other hand, the author confronts him with a new kind of human being who exists in an intangible dimension and for whom this vanity of self-destruction is completely incomprehensible.
The three main characters represent the three phases of human degradation. Despite being in a desolation they eat each other, themselves and the environment. This is the symbolic face of the consumer society, which concentrates only on existence and on material matters.
The character created in 3D animation and its intangible space become the last cut-off point and the mirror in which the cannibalistic supra lost in time and space is reflected. During this process two opposite states of human existence meet. The film presents the difference between human existence and essence as a choice.
The film is an independent initiative which brings together the unique artists around a given idea and form of expression. As a result of a long work process, the film combines interesting technical and technological expressions that go beyond just a cinematic work.
