The 15th edition of the One World Romania International Documentary & Human Rights Film Festival will take place between May 13th and May 22nd 2022 in Bucharest.
We invite you to submit your latest creative documentaries related to human rights. Short, medium and feature length films are welcomed. The films must have been completed after January 2020 and must be subtitled in English. Submission deadline is the 20th of December 2021.
We state that the Festival is not seeking news reports, film reports, television reports, current affairs programs, promotional or corporate films: a "human rights good subject" is not enough to be selected.
The way the films are made is essential, we are looking forward to discover cinematographic approaches - your own and unique cinematographic approach -, and we aim to share it with our audience. We invite you to learn about the festival’s editorial line by browsing through last year's selection: https://festival-oneworld.ro/l/en/program/
Awards of the International Jury & of the High school jury
The attribution of prizes and mentions is entirely left to the discretion of the individual juries.
The International jury award is money granted. The High school jury is symbolical. In 2021 we could grant the International jury prize with 1000 euros and we are hoping to grant the same amount in 2022. The award amount is paid to the directors.
