Director Biography - Michal Vasilko Kele Satori

Director, cinematographer, producer, photographer, traveler, and explorer who works under the (artistic) name "Mike Satori".
Mike Satori's work as a filmmaker is largely influenced by his own experiences in various countries (Tahiti, Marquesas Islands, Peru, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Vietnam, USA, Europe), where he has experienced unique indigenous cultures, an ocean storm on a sailboat in the middle of the South Pacific, ape-eaters in the Marquesas Islands, and the dangers of malaria. His grandfather František Kele (one of the greatest Slovak travelers of the 20-21 century) inspired him to take his first steps as a traveler and to have a positive relationship with nature.
In his early years, he made short films, such as Bratyslava Boys, with which he was among the best twenty-five films from more than 1,500 entries from sixteen countries at the prestigious international Filmminute competition in London. The Oscar-winning Paul Haggis sat on the jury at that time.
Subsequently, for more than a decade he collaborated on independent, artistic and commercial video projects in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and abroad. For the last three years, Mike Satori has been filming an authentic independent documentary in French Polynesia (Tahiti) - Stefanik's Waves (2019).
Subsequent encounters with natural healers (in Peru, Vanuatu, Tahiti), with an Indian yoga master (practicing yoga techniques - "pranayama", and others) revealed to him a deeper understanding of the human connection with nature and the universe.
His current work guides the viewer to a conscious way of living and a deeper understanding of the spiritual essence - seeing life as a sacred whole.
