After AI rebels against mankind, destroys the Earth and replaces it with a simulation, its creators send a man into the simulation to reclaim the planet. What he finds there is both familiar and disorienting. And dangerous.
This 23-minute, 100% AI-generated film is an artistic and historical artifact -- the first long-form, pure AI movie ever made.

Mijoro is an AI technologist and artist in the United States.
Isaac Newton famously said, "If I have seen farther, it is by standing On The Shoulders Of Giants." So, too, do most creative endeavors build upon previous works. In a sense, creativity can be seen not as an isolated act, but a cumulative process of the contributions of predecessors . . . that all artists are collaborators, creating within a context of existing influences and ideas.
This 100% AI-created experimental film builds upon a prior film, which builds upon a prior film, which builds upon a prior story, which builds upon a prior story, back through hundreds of iterations to one of the oldest stories ever told, one more than 2,500 years old. The story of Orpheus & Eurydice has been told a thousand times in a thousand ways. Now, a thousand and one. It is told here via AI, in a manner purposely similar to how AI learns and creates – by referencing and building upon vast bodies of work that have come before.
OTSOG includes scores of references to works both timeless and obscure that deal with men venturing into dangerous and possibly artificial worlds to rescue their women, works by, among others, Hitchcock, Joyce, Jung, Kafka, Shakespeare, Cocteau, Borges, Rilke, and many more. Additionally, as the film's AI trains on the man, it matures from spotty b+w to more complete and flowing color.
OTSOG was entirely created by one person, using only AI tools -- No film, no animation, no VFX, no team of editors and compositors, etc – in order to try to see what a sole storyteller could actually achieve with current AI film tools.
