Submission Guidelines and Acceptable Formats

All manuscripts must be submitted through Film Freeway in PDF form and should not exceed 120 pages. Shorter written works (25 to 80 minutes) are favored.

Short films are accepted that are less than 20 minutes, but we will watch feature-length films as well.

Email us at for Dramatist Guild and NPX waivers.

But please know that if your play, or screenplay is selected, we will be heartbroken if you won't let us present it.

As films and written materials come in, we may move to a rolling acceptance plan so that things can be performed or viewed quickly.

We guarantee that three exceptional written scripts will be performed in readings and or performances.

And we guarantee that several short films will be selected for screening in a one-week festival. If feature-length films are deemed exceptional, those too will be screened.

Submissions are accepted via electronic submission only, prior to 11:59 pm on August 1, 2022. The entry fee is $20 through July 1 and $30 through August 1.
