Director Biography - Gustavo Balbela

Gustavo Balbela (b. Porto Alegre, Brazil, 1997) is an artist, designer and researcher. He is a PhD student at the Norwich University of the Arts, holds a master's in fine arts from Porto Alegre’s Federal Institute of Arts and works as a designer and editor at Austral Edições. Gustavo develops his artistic production by creating and collecting technical images and presenting them in installations, videos, or publications. His work investigates, from personal perspectives, issues related to globalisation, imperialism and authoritarianism.
