ORION International Film Festival is dedicated to finding original, thought-provoking films that push the boundaries of storytelling. The festival features a broad range of genres catering for many filmmakers. Founded in Australia, the ORION International Film Festival includes competitive categories and live screening events. It aims to recognise original and inspiring films by independent and new filmmakers. ORION IFF aims to identify and empower filmmakers across the Globe.

The 2024 ORION IFF will hold curated screening events in the small township of Dalveen, located in the picturesque Granite Belt Region of Southern Queensland, Australia, and Berlin, Germany's political and cultural capital.

Officially selected films and winners are chosen by an industry panel. All entries are judged based on six key areas: Creative merit, Production Values, Cinematography, Performances, Editing, and Sound Design.

ORION IFF is a live screening event.

All Selected and Winning films will receive ORION IFF Official Laurels.

Films must have been completed between 2023 and 2024.
All non-English language films must include English language subtitles.
Submissions must be uploaded and submitted by the deadline to qualify for the respective entry fees.

Films must be available for download via platforms such as FilmFreeway, Vimeo Screener, MyAirBridge, or Dropbox. Submitters are required to provide a download link and grant permission for their films to be screened at our live events.
Short excerpts or trailers from submitted films may be showcased on the ORION IFF website for promotional purposes, with only partial screenings permitted.

Films are selected and invited by festival programmers for the ORION International Film Festival. Chosen filmmakers will be notified via email. The Jury's deliberations are confidential, and no further discussion will be entertained about their decisions.

Digital press kits should include:
Three publicity stills.
Film Poster: 1400 pixels x 2100 at 72dpi.
Full production credits.
Director's biography.
Film synopsis: Up to 130 words.
Film trailer: 30 seconds (if available).
