OH GRIBOEDOV
A large number of Iranian artworks are kept in the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. The documentary film Oh Griboedov introduces these artworks, which include rare examples of toreutics, tessellation, carpet, painting, book design, etc. These works belong to the Achaemenid, Sasanian, Safavid, and Qajar periods.

Abbas Ali Ezzati studied theater at Tehran University, Iran, and received his Master’s degree in film study at Tehran University of Art. He worked as an editor in Soroush Press (a part of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) between 1996 and 2003. He then published his monthly magazine, Shooka, on film, theatre, and literature from 2003 till 2008. He has published some articles and translated 35 books on art and drama to Persian. He has also directed 13 short and documentary films. Since 2014, he has been living in Sweden .
