O Arraial
Inspired by brazilian culture and the celebrations around christian saints in the month of june, “O Arraial” is a fashion film created to present the collection that attends the same title, launched on São Paulo Fashion week, Brazil’s official fashion calendar. Shot in Ilha do Ferro, a small village located in the deepest northeastern part of the country, where every man and woman dedicate their days to artisanal crafts such as wood carving and embroidery making, the film presents a different perspective on their daily life: what do these man and woman when they're not working?
The imagery created showcases an intimate and poetic perspective of Brazil’s countryside life and simplicity, while bringing to surface the reality of the people of Sertão, a most times forgotten region of our country full of life, beauty, color and history to be told.
