Yuksel Yilmaz, also known as Yukki, is a young up and coming film/commercial & music video director from North London. He has worked with high profile schools and Universities across England, Scotland and Wales as well as multiple team GB athletes and starting squads.
His latest short film is for 6 celebrities across the world, one of the individuals being Alberto Barbera, the director of Venice Film Festival.
I enjoyed looking into the world of subtle racism with my camera lens, together with writer and producer Frank Prosper, we purposely didn’t want to use any dialogue, only action and body language, it’s this kind of subtle racism that creates the classic ‘chip on the shoulder’ attitude that some people foster from a young age, this short film was based on an actual incident in the writers early life
